Abstract

In December 2009, I returned from a season in Rio de Janeiro that, for many reasons, had been a rich learning experience. I said to myself: I don't want to work in marketing anymore! As much as I loved my job, and I still do, at that time, something instinctive awakened in me, as if the very future of the profession was compromised. Technology was taking over all creative layers, speeding up processes and making everything extremely "easy".

Author Biography

William Barter

I am an incurable enthusiast of Creative Education and how it influences the way we shape our futures. Since 2012, after 20 years as a marketing consultant, I have dedicated myself to researching Creative Innovation from the perspective of Biomimicry, understanding the Organic Innovation Design that Nature uses to evolve, thus revolutionizing people's lives and the future of companies. Over the past 5 years, I have specialized as an Innovation Designer and Idea Pollinator, a concept I coined to denote the ability to use insights and fragments of ideas to create more complex processes. In 2022, in the midst of the pandemic, I launched the CrieAtive+ Podcast. I have fun with my guests, exploring the universe of creative innovation, discussing entrepreneurship, the AI revolution and, mainly, the role of education in creating possible futures. I have published articles in MIT Technology Review Brasil, DDI Data Driven Investor, UoD portal and Fast Company Brasil. I am the author of books such as 'Creativity: In Search of Meaning for the Act of Creating', which are available on Amazon. I also develop the BioFLUX 5X framework, using data to create collaborative innovation ecosystems in companies and schools. I combine creative skills mapping with equalizing team innovation profiles.
