About the Journal

The Management and Connections Journal (REGEC) is an online scientific journal, publishing continuously and affiliated with the Graduate Program in Administration (PPGAdm) at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES).

REGEC published its first edition in 2012 with the aim of fostering debate on relevant topics in the field of Administration and serving as a platform for disseminating conceptual and methodological advances, as well as promoting theoretical and empirical studies in the field.

Articles published in REGEC target researchers, professors, undergraduate and graduate students, consultants, professionals from public, private, and third-sector organizations, as well as policymakers. REGEC adheres to best practices in scientific publishing and benefits from a team of national and international editors and reviewers committed to the content and quality of submitted work. The journal utilizes the Open Journal Systems (OJS) open-access platform and is associated with the Brazilian Association of Scientific Editors (ABEC).

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public fosters greater global democratization of knowledge.

Editorial Policy

Articles and Bibliographic Notes submitted for review to the Management and Connections Journal must be original (both nationally and internationally) and not under consideration for publication in any other dissemination vehicle.

Works published in conference proceedings may be considered by the Editorial Policy Committee, provided they are in their final article format.

The publication of articles will not be remunerated, and total or partial reproduction is allowed, provided the source is cited.

Signed articles are the exclusive responsibility of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the UFES Graduate Program in Administration and/or the Editorial Team.

Articles and documents may be written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish. At the discretion of the Editorial Team, contributions in another foreign language may be accepted and published.

The originals may be adapted for editorial purposes to comply with the journal's standards.

Contributions to the Management and Connections Journal must be submitted through the journal's editorial and publication system (website), following the editorial guidelines.

All authorship of reviews and articles, during the evaluation process, will be kept confidential.

Two (02) will be the maximum number of articles that can be submitted per author per year, regardless of the authorship position, and provided that none of the authors have an article under review.

Peer Review Process

The journal adopts the blind review system, in which two anonymous reviewers are assigned to analyze each submitted article, review, or translation. If there are contradictory conclusions from the reviewers, the submission will be forwarded to a third anonymous reviewer.

Initially, the originals are submitted to the Editor of the journal, who has the authority to reject the submission if it does not align with the Focus and Scope of the publication.

The reviews are conducted by specialists in the field of the submitted work, who are part of the review panel. If a specialist in the specific theme is not registered in our review system, the journal will request an ad hoc review.

Reviewers' recommendations can be "accept," "reject," or "accept with revisions," based on objective and qualitative criteria present in our evaluation form. It is up to the Editor to decide whether to accept the reviewers' recommendations, and they may forward revision requests to the authors.

In the case of a rejection, the editors will provide justifications. If acceptance depends on revisions, the authors will receive the recommendations and a deadline to meet the requests.

The Managing Editor will be available to clarify any questions the authors may have about the submission process at any stage.
