Introduction: Granular cell tumor (GCT) is a mostly benign and rare neoplasm of soft tissues, which can appear in any part of the body but rarely in the vulva. Method and result: This is a case of GCT with one year of evolution in a Brazilian 54-year-old woman, black, diagnosed by biopsy and successfully treated surgically, in addition to a discussion about the findings in the literature. Discussion: GCT is a rare tumor with varied topography and can appear in the female genital tract. Its diagnosis is histopathological and surgical treatment. Objective: Since it is an occasional disease in the clinical practice of Gynecologists, its report is needful to avoid delay in diagnosis or ineffective treatment without evaluating the margin as well as other possible sites of injury. Conclusion: The case reported had therapeutic success made possible by a rapid diagnosis and an investigation of multicentricity and subsequent surgical resection of the lesion with adequate margins.
