Análise epidemiológica da sífilis em gestantes no município de Curitiba/PR: um estudo observacional descritivo

Resumo

Introdução: A sífilis é uma doença sistêmica, curável e de distribuição epidemiológica mundial. Sua transmissão ocorre na forma sexual, vertical ou sanguínea. No Brasil, a sífilis em gestantes é um agravo de notificação compulsória. O estudo tem como objetivo descrever a epidemiologia de casos notificados de sífilis em gestantes no município de Curitiba/PR. Método: Trata-se de um estudo e observacional descritivo de base documental. Os dados foram fornecidos pela Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Curitiba através do registro SINAN. Foi utilizado para a análise o período de 2007-20017. Consideraram-se as variáveis: faixa etária, raça/cor, trimestre, escolaridade, classificação clínica, esquemas prescritos e tratamento de parceiro sexual. Para contraponto com média brasileira, utilizou-se o Boletim Epidemiológico da Sífilis, 2018. Resultados: Conforme análise inferencial em série histórica de Curitiba, há aumento de casos notificados/ano (p<0,001), ao longo da série histórica. No município, a incidência é maior entre 20 e 29 anos, e em gestantes com ensino fundamental incompleto. A detecção é durante fase clínica latente tardia, e tratamento realizado no início da gestação. No Brasil, predominam casos de sífilis primária (32%) e casos ignorados (28%), sendo os tratamentos tardios. Conclusão: Os dados municipais e nacionais revelaram um aumento progressivo na incidência e prevalência da sífilis em gestantes. Foram identificadas imprecisões de preenchimento das fichas do SINAN, as quais atuaram como fatores limitantes do estudo. Salienta-se que otimizar a capacidade de coleta de dados oficiais de alta qualidade e de fácil acesso é de fundamental importância para combate desse agravo de saúde pública.
