mémoire et oubli à travers les pièces de monnaie frappées lors des conflits internes de la République tardive

Cet article analyse le rôle de la documentation numismatique dans la construction de la mémoire et son action dans les conflits politiques internes vécus par Rome au cours des dernières décennies de la période républicaine. Les pièces de monnaie romaines, en tant qu’agents de la mémoire, ont activement impliqués dans les conflits. Sur la base de trois sources (RIC 545, RRC 448/3 et RRC 443/1), datées entre 49 et 28 av. J.-C., nous cherchons à comprendre la manière particulière dont les pièces de monnaie se souvenaient des Guerres Civiles, en évitant de donner de la visibilité à la dimension domestique des conflits et en mettant en même temps l’accent sur les guerres contre les peuples étrangers.
