Abstract

This study addresses the topic of cargo optimization in order to reduce freight costs, in view of a project that aims to facilitate the work of transporting products. The study is justified by the relevance of the theme today, when companies seek their space in the competitive market and want to maximize their results. The general objective of the research is to analyze the process of load optimization as a resource to reduce freight values in the target environment of this research, which has as its specific objectives: to discuss logistics and its role in organizations today; address the importance of technologies in optimizing business results; highlight the volume of cargo as a determining factor for reducing the cost of freight, generating greater profitability. The methodology used was initially based on bibliographic research, later on the case study of the company. In order to achieve the search results. In addition, in this study, the results of the proposal to use a scriptwriter to optimize freight and reduce the cost of this process are discussed.

Author Biographies

Elizângela de Jesus Oliveira, Universidade Federal do Amazonas

Professor at UFAM - Federal University of Amazonas. Doctorate in Business Administration from UNIMEP - Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba and Master in Business Administration from FPL - Pedro Leolpodo Foundation of Minas Gerais. She holds a degree in Business Administration from UNIMONTES-State University of Montes Claros (2008). Specialist in Instructional Design for Distance Education by UNIFEI - Federal University of Itajubá. She has experience as a teacher in the Undergraduate Courses of Business Administration, Engineering, and Higher Courses in Logistics Technology, Foreign Trade and Port Management and Human Resources Management. She also works as Professor of the Graduate Program in Applied Social Sciences. She is an Author and Content Teacher in EaD of the disciplines for Graduation EaD and Post Graduation in EaD (Administrative Theories, People Management, CSR and Corporate Governance). She has experience as Coordinator of the Center for Distance Education for Higher Education and in the Coordination of Graduate Studies in Public Management. She acts in the Evaluation of several journals and seminars in Brazil in the field of Applied Social Sciences. She is accredited by BASIS / INEP-MEC AVALIADORA for undergraduate Business Administration courses, CST in Management Processes and related areas (on-campus and Distance Learning).

Darly Fernando Andrade, Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, Faculdade de Gestão e Negócios

Bachelor in Statistics (1997) with Master in Strategic Administration - Emphasis in Marketing from UFMG (2002) and Doctor in Administration from FUMEC University (2014). He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia with interests in the area of marketing and statistics.
