La relación entre la seguridad y salud en el trabajo y la sostenibilidad a la luz de los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible (ODS): un análisis bibliométrico de 2002 a 2022

El creciente interés público en cuestiones ambientales, sociales y de gobernanza requiere que todas las organizaciones aborden los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) de las Naciones Unidas. En esta investigación, el objetivo central es explorar la relación entre la salud y seguridad en el trabajo y la sostenibilidad, alineada con los ODS. Para ello, se adoptó un enfoque bibliométrico, analizando 20 años (2002-2022) de producción académica en la base de datos Web of Science (WoS). La justificación radica en la necesidad de comprender cómo las prácticas de seguridad en el trabajo se conectan con los principios de sostenibilidad en el contexto global de la búsqueda del desarrollo sostenible. Los resultados revelaron un aumento exponencial de la producción académica, destacándose trabajos relacionados con la salud y seguridad en el trabajo y la sostenibilidad de los ODS: 3 (Salud y Bienestar), 11 (Ciudades y Comunidades Sostenibles) y 12 (Consumo y Producción Sostenibles). Las áreas predominantes incluyen Ciencias Ambientales y Salud Ocupacional Pública. Las revistas clave incluyen: Sustainability, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, Safety Science y Journal of Cleaner Production. El estudio destacó la necesidad de enfoques integrados que combinen la seguridad laboral y la sostenibilidad, apuntando a entornos de trabajo más seguros alineados con los principios de los ODS, contribuyendo al bienestar humano y ambiental.
