O presente artigo busca investigar a produção imagética que envolve a bomba atômica, em especial sua primeira detonação, a Experiência Trinity. Foi realizada como teste em solo dos Estados Unidos, poucas semanas antes dos bombardeios em Hiroshima e Nagasaki. Trata-se de um estudo que também almeja analisar a forma como o experimento foi comunicado pelo governo do país, bem como sua recepção frente à população.
