Cet article cherche à étudier la production d’images entourant la bombe atomique, en particulier sa première détonation, l’expérience Trinity. Elle a été réalisée à titre test sur le sol américain, quelques semaines avant les bombardements d'Hiroshima et de Nagasaki. Il s'agit d'une étude qui vise également à analyser la manière dont l'expérience a été communiquée par le gouvernement du pays, ainsi que son accueil auprès de la population.
