Modelos Cognitivos Idealizados: : Uma Reflexão Sobre A Atividade Semântica Cognitiva No Contexto Jurídico

Abstract

The present proposal is based on a cognitive approach (LAKOFF, 1987), which reflects on the cognitive semantic activity of the Sign Language Translator and Interpreter (TILS) in the legal context. From the semantic issues that have as a starting point the process of human categorization, in which cognitive semantics is observed, developed in the integration of human communication capacity in different social contexts. With this, the objective of this article is to dialogue about the Idealized Cognitive Models, which is based on the fact that all meaning depends on a set of stimuli that are the result of an infinity of motivations, whose sources can be the most diverse, that is, they can be those acquired in interaction with society (LAKOFF, 1987; FELTES, 1992). In the TILS task, the development of comprehension from the source text to the target text requires skills for the task of simultaneous interpretation in the face of legal-term-concepts. The results show that the TILS needs to appropriate a specialized linguistic repertoire, for the effect and efficiency of the task of simultaneous interpretation in the legal context.

FLAVIA MEDEIROS ALVARO MACHADO, Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo

Doutora em Letras (UCS/UniRitter); Mestre em Letras, Cultura e Regionalidade (UCS); Especialista em Educação Especial: deficiências Múltiplas (FSG). Atuou como professora/tutora no Curso de modalidade a distância do Bacharelado em Letras/Libras (UFSC/2009-2012). Experiência profissional na formação de Tradutores e intérpretes de Libras/Português (TILSP), e também na formação de professores (docentes) de Libras. Atualmente exerce o cargo de Professora Adjunta do Magistério Superior no Quadro Permanente da Universidade Federal Espirito Santo (UFES), no Departamento de Línguas e Letras (DLL), do Centro de Ciências Humanas e Naturais (CCHN), em regime de Dedicação Exclusiva (DE), com aprovação em primeiro lugar no concurso público federal em linguística (subárea Linguística Aplicada). Pesquisadora dos Estudos da Tradução, Interpretação (simultânea) e Estudos Transnacionais em Políticas Linguísticas para Surdo (PPGELT/UFES), sendo pesquisadora-integrante do Grupo de Pesquisas em Estudos da Linguagem, Libras, Educação Especial e a Distância e Tecnologias (GPELET/UFU) e coordenadora do Projeto de Pesquisa Linguística Cognitiva - escolhas interpretativas de Língua Portuguesa/Libras (LINCognit/UFES/CCHN/DLL).
