This article presents issues addressed in a graduate course monograph developed at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), regarding the teaching of intellectual property. We started with the analysis of national and international initiatives (“best practices” in the teaching of intellectual property), as well as recommendations by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), theoretical framework, and a case study – UNICAMP, something which allowed the proposition of a course/discipline on intellectual property as a contribution to the discussions on the theme.
