O cita nômade como estereótipo na Antiguidade: Heródoto, Hipócrates e a gênese de uma concepção

O seguinte artigo tem como objetivo analisar a gênese do que se entende como o estereótipo cita nômade em autores da Antiguidade Clássica, mais especificamente, em Heródoto e nos tratados hipocráticos. Compreende-se que a etnografia grega foi responsável pela construção de um estereótipo sobre grupos nômades que perpassou todo o período da Antiguidade e foi utilizado tanto para a estruturação de narrativas como para a legitimação de concepções sobre estes grupos. Nossa análise é guiada por dois conceitos-chave: etnicidade fictiva, como teorizado por Étienne Balibar (1991) e estereótipo, de Homi Bhabha (1998).
