Nueva gestión pública y gestión por resultados: una revisión bibliométrica de estudios en el contexto de las instituciones de educación superior

Este artículo presenta una revisión bibliométrica de la implementación y desarrollo de la Nueva Gestión Pública (NGP) y la Gestión por Resultados en las instituciones de educación superior. Con el objetivo de identificar tendencias y brechas de investigación desde 2014 hasta 2024, la revisión abarcó publicaciones indexadas en las bases de datos Scopus y Web of Science, dando como resultado 35 artículos seleccionados. Los resultados cuantitativos indican picos de publicaciones en los años 2016, 2018 y 2021, con una notable concentración de estudios provenientes de Australia, Reino Unido y Estados Unidos. El análisis de palabras clave revela que los estudios abordan predominantemente temas relacionados con el desempeño, la rendición de cuentas y las reformas del sector público. Los resultados cualitativos muestran que los artículos examinan principalmente los impactos de la Gestión por Resultados en el financiamiento universitario y la evaluación del desempeño del profesorado, con un enfoque en los cambios estructurales y las presiones sobre el personal académico. Este estudio contribuye a la comprensión de los impactos de las teorías de la NGP y la Gestión por Resultados en las instituciones de educación superior, identificando una brecha en la literatura científica sobre este tema en los países de América Latina. El estudio sugiere la necesidad de realizar más investigaciones sobre los efectos de estos enfoques más allá de la financiación, particularmente en la vida profesional de los profesores.
