Information technology and communication in remote work: study case in the services sector in the city of São Paulo-SP-Brasil

The objective of this study was to identify in the literature concepts, technologies and tools of information technology and communication, which were implemented as an emergency as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to compare them with the good practices adopted by the company, unit of analysis, object of study case which is an accounting office in the service sector and located in the State of São Paulo. The methodology has a qualitative approach and a comparative method. The recognized results are: the company studied was not technologically prepared for remote work and that adjustments should be made as a priority; it was identified that all employees adapted to work remotely with the help of information technology and communication tools and; all indicated a preference to continue working remotely. Additionally, it was possible to propose the adoption of new technology information and communication tools in order to meet the demands and improve the well-being of employees while performing their duties working from home.
