Montaje de restos, o conservación del net.art

Este texto explora los desafíos y metodologías de conservación de las obras de net.art. Se discute cómo la naturaleza efímera y dinámica del net.art complica su preservación. Esta complejidad se ejemplifica con el proyecto "Mouchette.org", de Martine Neddam, una obra interactiva que evoluciona con la participación del público. Se sugiere que la conservación del net.art debe ir más allá de la preservación material y adoptar un enfoque que permita la continuidad y adaptación de la obra en respuesta a los cambios tecnológicos y culturales. El concepto de "huellas" es central y representa partes que dan testimonio de la existencia de la obra a lo largo del tiempo. Se concluye que la conservación del net.art debe ser procedimental, colaborativa y permitirle mantener su relevancia y autenticidad, incluso ante las constantes transformaciones tecnológicas y culturales.
