O banquete e as narrativas na 'Odisseia'

Este breve ensaio tenta definir o “banquete” na Odisseia (daís, “partilha” e não o sympósion) como modo básico de socialização e momento decisivo no ritual maior de recepção de um hóspede, onde ocorre não só a partilha de comida e bebida entre anfitrião e hóspede, mas, após a refeição, também a identificação de ambos através de narrativas, sendo ainda o “banquete” a ocasião por excelência para as narrativas cantadas dos aedos. O ensaio tenta ainda pensar como, na Odisseia, o “banquete” se configura como ocasião privilegiada, mas típica, de disponibilidade ou tempo livre, necessários para a narração e audição de narrativas.Downloads
