Imagens em moedas e vida pública na Roma republicana

O presente artigo propõe um olhar sobre a vida pública romana a partir da análise das imagens de dois denários republicanos. As moedas foram emitidas por Caio e Tibério Minúcio Augurino em 135 e 134 AEC, respectivamente. Adota a perspectiva de um século II dinâmico em uma República romana em contínua transformação interna, conforme proposto por H. Flower (2010). Insere-se no pressuposto de que, na iconografia numismática do período, aquilo a que chamamos “religião” e aquilo a que chamamos “política” construíram juntas um discurso comum, que, de diferentes formas, nos contam sobre a cidade de Roma e seus cidadãos.
