This article is part of the master's dissertation of the Graduate Program in Agricultural Education at UFRRJ, which focused on the professional project of the young graduates of the Escola Família Agrícola de Jaguaré. In this article we expose part of a research developed through a time frame, between the years 2011 and 2016. The objective is to reflect, from the realization of the projects, on the scope of this pedagogical proposal in the perspectives of young professionals who concluded the Technical Course in Agriculture at Escola Família Agrícola de Jaguaré, and its contribution to their involvement and permanence in the daily life of the countryside. The results revealed that the young people put the projects into practice, continued their studies and stayed in the countryside, maintaining themselves economically through agricultural activities with the family and other young people developed pluriactive activities. The conclusion points out that the professional youth project proposed by the school is part of a project to maintain the commitment to recognize young people as protagonists in the transformation of the countryside and their involvement with the local community.
