Rural Education Seminar: experience of teacher training in São Gabriel/RS
Abstract
Rural Education is available as a teaching modality in the Brazilian educational context and requires institutional management (maintainer and school) to improve the quality of education offered to rural people. In this sense, this article aims to present an experience of continuing education in rural education, developed in the city of São Gabriel/RS, aimed at the target audience of teachers from Schools in the Field (municipal and state) and others interested in the educational area . This text used the descriptive method, outlined through a case study and outlines the experience of the traditional Education Seminar of Campo de São Gabriel/RS, held in 2019, at EMCEF Mascarenhas de Moraes (Escola do Campo), organized by the management of the Municipal Education Secretariat (SEME) and by the direction of the Schools of the Field. The event was attended by approximately 250 people, including organizers and participants, involving representatives from different municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul, with a program in the perspective of relating theory and practice, Basic Education and Higher Education, School and Community, reinforcing the role Escola do Campo in the development of rural communities.
