Abstract: Agroecology is a founding theoretical category for thinking about the Brazilian field from the field project of the working class. While agrarian capitalism imposes a devastating relationship on the countryside, Agroecology builds a new way of doing agriculture, which is centered on life, based on peasant agriculture, on the socialization of land ownership, on cultural diversity, on the preservation of natural resources that serve as a basis for the economic and social reproduction of peasants, in the production of healthy food, in diversified production systems, in the valorization of popular knowledge and its articulation with scientific knowledge, in the establishment of new relations in the field that are socially just, economically viable and culturally authentic. In view of the two projects that are in dispute in the Brazilian field, Agroecology and Agribusiness, it is essential to train young peasants in this important theoretical category, Agroecology. This segment, which has shown itself to be increasingly important in the continuity of the struggle of rural workers and in the permanence of peasant territory. Therefore, it is necessary to advance the approach between rural schools and Agroecology in view of the potential, political, social, cultural and economic importance of this theme. In this context, this article aims to highlight the need and the importance of the formation of Peasant Youth in Agroecology, a project of the working class, which constitutes an important foundation for the construction of peasant agriculture capable of confronting agribusiness, which has led to the destruction of peasant territory.
