Field Education and Environmental Education: contributions to school food policies

Abstract

This article discusses Education in the Countryside contextualizing the development of Environmental Education linked to school meals for students of an elementary school in the countryside in the municipality of Bom Jesus da Lapa-BA. It aimed to contribute to the development and improvement of eating and EAN practices for subjects at the Josino Pereira Dias school. The methodology consists of a qualitative approach, field studies and semi-structured interview. It was found that, there is a need for reflection on the issues of improvements in the acquisition of food, and nutritional, making visible changes in eating habits not only at school, but in a large part of the community. Especially that the development of this work, added perceptibility to the productive yards in the composition of acquisition of part of the food, to add to the preparation of the meals of the students of the school. He emphasized the non-use of pesticides in the management of vegetable gardens in backyards, as food will be used for the preparation of school meals.
