A busca pela “originalidade religiosa” nas Gálias no período imperial

Resumo

O debate sobre a “romanização”, já tão recorrente desde a décade de 1970, pode ter se “naturalizado” como discurso descritivo das realidades provinciais, mas efetivamente talvez não tenha sido ainda devidamente dimensionado historiograficamente o que o sustentou: as evidências arqueológicas não romanas ou romanas mas com alterações locais que foram encontradas a partir do segundo quartel do século XX.  O artigo procura fazer uma análise das discussões teóricas que criaram esses tópoi e apresentar dois exemplos de evidências arqueológicas que atestariam uma “originalidade religiosa” nas Gálias Romanas no período imperial.
