Resumo

Neste artigo, busca-se apresentar e investigar as estratégias narrativas utilizadas pela autora chilena Diamela Eltit no romance Lumpérica (1983), baseando-nos em questões relativas a focos narrativos e elementos da ditadura militar chilena, utilizando elaborações teóricas levantadas por Ligia Chiappini Moraes Leite (2002), Pierre Bourdieu (2004), Erving Goffman (2010) e Naomi Klein (2008). A partir da análise do corpus, aliada a textos críticos relevantes, propõe-se investigar os diferentes modos de narrar que compõem o romance, e como tais escolhas remetem ao período histórico do Chile no qual o romance foi escrito. Para isso, foi necessário compreender como se deu a instauração do governo militar chileno em 1973 e o discurso neoliberal vinculado a esse período.

Abstract

This article seeks to present and investigate the narrative strategy used by the Chilean author Diamela Eltit in the novel Lumpérica (1983), based on issues related to narrative focuses and Chilean military dictatorship, using theoretical elaborations proposed by Ligia Chiappini Moraes Leite (2002), Pierre Bourdieu (2004), Erving Goffman (2010) and Naomi Klein (2008). Based on the analysis of the corpus, combined with relevant critical texts, we intend to investigate the different narrative strategies that make up the novel, and how they refer to the historical period of Chile in which the novel was written. For this, it was necessary to understand how the Chilean military government was established in 1973 and the neoliberal discourse linked to that period.
