O Projeto Vitrine ESMU tem como objetivo contribuir para a divulgação e potencialização da produção artística da Escola de Música da UEMG, influenciando positivamente na formação de seus alunos e fortalecendo o seu papel social enquanto instituição pública. Para tanto, este projeto de extensão prevê a apresentação de uma série de recitais de música de câmara com grupos compostos exclusivamente por professores da Escola de Música da UEMG, de forma a mostrar as possibilidades artísticas da Escola e o potencial de seu corpo docente. Em 2022, quinto ano de realização do projeto, um total de nove apresentações ocorreu na Escola de Música da UEMG e em diversas instituições parceiras em Belo Horizonte e São João del Rei. Além das apresentações, ofereceram-se também masterclasses e ensaios abertos, todos gratuitos. Com um total de 26 professores participantes, pode-se dizer que os resultados do projeto em 2022 foram não apenas plenamente satisfatórios como também os melhores de todos os anos de existência do projeto até então. O projeto contou com um bolsista de extensão que, além de auxiliar em diversas etapas de sua execução, adquiriu uma importante bagagem de conhecimentos nas áreas de produção musical e musicologia.
