CALL FOR THEMATIC DOSSIER

07-11-2023

This volume seeks to gather works that discuss the contributions of Semiotics and Multimodality with emphasis on teaching issues, communication, teacher training, digital technologies and teaching and learning processes in elementary, technical and higher education. Multimodality, as a means of constructing meaning, has become prominent, subduing, in this digital and globalized era, the notion that the verbal mode would be the most complete and capable of dealing with all rational human meanings. Therefore, the multimodal sociosemiotic approach, whether from the point of view of research and teaching or relating to social interactions through language, breaks the hierarchy between semiotic modes, in order to allow a more integral approach to language phenomena. Therefore, we invite researchers and educators to share their ideas and/or results of their research, in article format, in which reflections can be shared do the area.
