The teaching experience is an essential step for the teacher training and can be directly related to the quality of classes. In this sense, graduation students may have experience in basic education during the course through supervised internships or through the pedagogical residency program, steps that aim the contact with teaching. In this work, we analyzed the reports of teaching experience of trainee students with resident students, both from a degree course in Chemistry in the Goiás state. It was noted that the reports of the two groups highlighted positive aspects and similar difficulties, and it was also realized that the experience with the pedagogical residency program can be a good opportunity to improve the activities of the supervised internships.
