The Relationship between Gender Diversity, Innovation, and Creativity

Abstract

Despite progress, women still face challenges in achieving workplace equity and are often underestimated in their capabilities. Studies indicate that while there is no consensus on significant gender differences in creativity, socio-environmental and cultural factors influence the development and expression of creative potential. This theoretical essay examines the relationship between creativity, gender diversity, and innovation in organizational contexts, highlighting the importance of inclusive environments for fostering creative and innovative potential. This paper offers reflections on the gender roles imposed by society and suggests directions for future research, such as identifying barriers that limit the full expression of women's creative potential. The study concludes that promoting inclusive and equitable environments is crucial for fostering creativity and innovation, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of organizations and society.
