Estereotipos de género, motivación y aspiraciones profesionales de mujeres en un grupo de pregrado

Este artículo tiene como objetivo investigar los estereotipos de género y sus consecuencias en el contexto organizacional. Se realizó un estudio de caso utilizando entrevistas semiestructuradas. Las entrevistas fueron transcritas y sometidas al análisis de contenido con el uso del software NVivo. Se evidenció la presencia de estereotipos de género. Sin embargo, a diferencia de la literatura clásica sobre género, la presencia de estos estereotipos no afecta directamente la motivación ni las aspiraciones profesionales de las mujeres. Por el contrario, el presente artículo evidencia una preferencia por un liderazgo más transformacional y participativo, más característico de un liderazgo femenino, lo que nos lleva a sugerir que la brecha señalada por la Teoría de la Congruencia puede estar reduciéndose. El artículo ofrece una perspectiva diferente sobre el impacto de las cuestiones de género en el liderazgo al considerar los avances en los estudios de liderazgo en respuesta a un mundo corporativo más complejo y a las características de los individuos de la Generación Z, quienes conformarán la nueva generación de líderes corporativos.
