Abstract

The Proceedings of the 3rd Symposium on Innovation and Health Management bring together the abstracts of the works presented during the event held on June 14, 15, and 16, 2023, in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil. The symposium was promoted by the Center for Teaching, Research and Innovation of the iNOVA Capixaba Foundation (CEPiNOVA), in partnership with the Teaching, Research and Innovation Units (UEPI) of the hospitals under its management. Established as one of the main public health events in the state, the symposium focused on discussing innovative solutions, emerging technologies, and management practices aimed at improving healthcare delivery. The program included lectures by renowned experts, such as Gonzalo Vecina Neto — former president of Anvisa and one of the creators of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) — as well as thematic panels and hands-on workshops addressing key contemporary health issues: patient safety, data integration, assistive technologies, person-centered care, and applied research in the context of public health in Espírito Santo. The works published in this volume reflect the diversity of experiences, research, and proposals developed by professionals, managers, researchers, and students committed to innovation and to strengthening the SUS.
