In this article, we aim at presenting the forms of government described in two ancient authors: Herodotus, a Greek historian, and Strabo, a geographer of the Roman period. Their studies do not focus only the political issues, however we manage to map evidence in which the different ways of governing are described as well as the best forms of government considered by the authors.
