A masculinidade cidadã não-adulta: a generização de crianças masculinas na Atenas Clássica

Este artigo aborda a interseção entre geração, gênero e status social na generização de meninos cidadãos na Atenas Clássica a partir da análise dos ritos relacionados ao nascimento, de inserção de meninos em contexto coletivo e políade; e da generização masculina em contexto escolar, nas brincadeiras e jogos infantis e na efebia. A análise feita neste artigo das práticas sociais que corroboram para a identificação e adequação de crianças identificadas sexualmente como masculinas culmina no reconhecimento de um processo de introdução de meninos em práticas homossociais, além de inserção dos mesmos em contexto oikíade e políade conforme as práticas normativas requeridas de cidadãos masculinos em Atenas. Tal generização torna o programa de aquisição da masculinidade superior o contexto em que se engendra a “boa masculinidade”, constituída ela mesma como estereótipo e parâmetro para as práticas de generização.
