To address the issue of improper disposal of biomass from agricultural residues and textile dye waste discharged into rivers, an efficient and sustainable approach to tackle both problems was studied. For this purpose, in a chemistry laboratory, the absorption capacity of natural sugarcane bagasse fibers with the textile dye Cartazine Orange was investigated. Solutions of the dye at different concentrations were prepared, and their absorbance was measured using a UV-VIS spectrophotometer at various time intervals. The amount of dye absorbed by the sugarcane fibers at different time intervals was determined based on the line equation obtained from the calibration curve. Subsequently, with all the necessary variables, Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms were determined for each system. In the study of the absorption kinetics of sugarcane fibers for Cartazine Orange, it was found that the pseudo-second-order kinetics best represented the evaluated system.
