Abstract

The landscape, for Brazilian geographer Milton Santos, is everything that the eye can see, not just the shapes, but also the colors, smells and sounds provided by the experience of inhabiting a place. Since it is “everything that the eye can see”, its construction depends directly on the observer’s perception, making it possible to select artistic productions from different categories as constituent elements of this landscape. This experience report is part of a study on the landscape of everyday school life and how multiple artistic proposals can change and give new meaning to it. By taking this study to the educational environment, we intend to investigate the child's perceptions in relation to the everyday landscape, developing critical sense, and highlighting their role as protagonists in this environment.

Author Biography

Rosely Kumm, LEENA-UFES

Rosely Kumm is an art educator and researcher from Espírito Santo, who has always made art her private universe. In 2011 she attended the free studio of artist Joacir Soares, in the state of São Paulo. In 2013 he studied Fine Arts, specializing in painting, drawing and sculpture at the Escola de Artes Oswaldo Verano in the state of Goiás, graduating in 2017. Parallel to his studies at the Escola de Artes, he attended the free studio of the artist Álvaro Nunez, specializing in illustration scientific. She is currently completing her degree in Visual Arts at the Federal University of Espírito Santo, where her undergraduate research explores the concepts of Urban Landscape and how Heritage Art can influence this landscape or even create new ones. Furthermore, she is an active member of the Arts Extension and Research Laboratory-Leena-at Ufes.

Um plano mais próximo, há arvores baixas, com copas de um verde mais claro, seguidas de uma casa baixa com varanda de colunas brancas e telhado de telhas terracota. À frente da casa há um gramado verde claro e, em primeiro plano, trabalhadores e trabalhadoras negros recolhendo o cacau seco do chão, em balaios palha. Na parte superior, lê-se Elemento cor: percepção, presença, representação. Na parte inferior, lê-se COL22: revista do colóquio de arte e pesquisa do Programa de Pós-graduação em artes da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo.
