Résumé

L'article présent examine la question de l'origine de Pithecusa, une ancienne cité grecque située sur l'île d'Ischia, dans le golfe de Naples. Il enquête sur les disputes historiques concernant les fondateurs de la ville et évalue la validité de ces récits. Au fil des siècles, différentes théories ont émergé attribuant la fondation de Pithecusa à différents groupes ethniques grecs, tels que les Éubéens ou les Phéniciens. Le texte analyse les preuves historiques et archéologiques derrière ces théories et propose une réflexion sur la manière de comprendre la complexité de l'ancienne Pithecusa.
