The need for efficiency gains, productivity and cost reductions makes nothing more assertive than training the team in a methodology already tested and approved by big multinationals. So, the training and implementation of Steps 1, 2 and 3 of Autonomous Maintenance was carried out in a corrugated paper company factory located in the São Paulo - Brazil. The project was initially carried out on 3 DRO model die-cutting printing machines, with a crew of 50 people, three-shifts work and a 6 x 1 work schedule. The duration of this project was 90 days, and was conducted by a consulting called Ganbatte, which for three weeks, carried out theoretical training on the factory floor, and in the other three weeks, the operations and leadership team continued the project based on the activities that the consultancy left as a task. So, the team's evolution and the results achieved were satisfactory, taking into account not only the numbers achieved, but also the culture absorbed of creating planned stops for cleaning, inspection and lubrication, checking standardized adjustments, reducing unplanned stops, maintaining the equipment by returning it to basic conditions and reducing anomalies backlog.
