This research addresses the strategies adopted in translating the text to welcome deaf tourists visiting Ilha do Campeche - Santa Catarina, Brazil. The original text (source text) was obtained from the current monitors on the island. The video recording of the translation was recorded remotely, due to the current pandemic context. Textual analysis (NORD, 2016) and the Modalities of Translation applied to the interpretation of Libras are used to support the discussion (NICOLOSO; HEBERLE, 2015). In the translation in question, seven of the thirteen modalities of translation were found, following the precepts of Nicoloso (2015), who adapted Aubert's (1998) Translation Modalities to Libras. This research emphasizes the importance of using methodologies that allow the translator to control the relevant points of their process, as well as to understand all the linguistic processes that take place to ensure the quality of the final text.
