MAPEAMENTO E ANÁLISE DA PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA SOBRE SEGURANÇA VIÁRIA
MAPPING AND ANALYSIS OF SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION ON ROAD SAFETY

A análise bibliométrica é uma importante ferramenta para visualização do conhecimento sobre temas de interesse relevantes para a sociedade. No presente artigo, utilizamos esse recurso com o objetivo principal de mapear e analisar o conhecimento produzido sobre um tópico de relevância global: a segurança no trânsito. Nesse sentido, realizamos uma busca por artigos publicados sobre o tema na base Scopus, a partir de 2011, considerando a “Década de Ação pela Segurança no Trânsito 2011-2020”. Foram recuperados 7.956 artigos escritos em inglês, dos quais foram apresentados os principais países, autores, fontes, instituições e áreas que abordaram o tema da segurança viária. Em seguida, de acordo com critérios de refino, foram selecionados 26 artigos para a etapa da análise de conteúdo. Esta etapa foi auxiliada pelo Software VOSviewer que contribuiu para visualização de elementos que foram discutidos. Os resultados demonstraram uma preponderância de estudos sobre comportamento humano no trânsito, principalmente violações por velocidade excessiva e consumo de álcool pelos motoristas, além da preocupação com a segurança de pedestres. Evidenciou-se uma tendência de abordagem sistêmica da segurança do trânsito, de forma a considerar múltiplos fatores envolvidos nesse contexto, e não somente o fator humano. Sendo assim, a estratégia tradicional dos 3E´s da segurança do trânsito tem sido expandida, com a inclusão de outros E´s, a fim de possibilitar a formulação de estratégias mais eficazes e apropriadas ao cenário vivenciado.
